Local sossegado. Ótimas refeições vegetarianas. Preço de menu ligeiramente acima da média, porém a qualidade tem um preço. Parabéns e muito sucesso!
Just like Cat Stevens I can 't keep it in, I 've gotta let it out. It 's just that I 've had this delicious duck strudel for lunch and I have to share it (the tip, not the duck). Porto city is a hot spot by now, everybody knows it, but luckily there are still some yummy secrets to it. The 'Capa Verde ' restaurant (Green Cape) fits that slot. Totally central (Rotunda da Boavista and Casa da Música), hides quietly in a unsuspected facade of a side street. Once inside you may still have second thoughts, facing the buffet counter with trays to carry. But the dessert display, oddly (or not) placed at the very beginning, announces a happy ending to this meal. One fish, one meat and two vegetarian choices of main... and so little time (I had the best apple chutney here a few days ago). The room is spacious, cosy, flooded by light and good taste. Be careful not to stumble and drop your tray when you see, beyond the quiet atmosphere, the secluded garden on the back. With tables. And sun. Waiting for you. Speaking about waiting, the service at the table is a trademark. Joy and care are given to the smallest details. All of this at regular everyday lunch break prices. What?
For Vegetarian lovers it is a very pleasant restaurant with an attractive variety of dishes: couscous, quinoa; tofu; mushrooms, curry spicyness, etc. The portions are reasonable and I like to drink warm tea with the meal. The dessert choice is quite difficult because each choice is very tempting! The small portion option is a very good solution, since more people are enticed to have dessert. Although the outside of the entrance of Capa Verde is quite bland (one is hardly tempted to enter since it looks like a cheap, greasy cafè 's entrance), the interior is very welcoming and the dècor very attractive. It is a vey recommendable, affordable restaurant!
“Capa Verde” is my daily cozy retreat... It is comfortable, at early or late lunch hours, calm (at 13 pm it gets a bit noisy, depending if there are large groups). The variety of healthy vegan dishes is delightful and there are two normal choices of meat/ fish alternatives. The desserts are superb and the miniature portion good for the soul and light on one’s conscience . I just love coming to this place and chill out during lunch.
