I ordered The Vegan pizza and the person making it mentioned that he was vegan as well, so he ensured that it was made correctly. After waiting around 10-15 minutes, the first pizza ended up burning so he made a fresh one. After an additional 5 minutes, I received a delicious and fresh pizza. The Vegan pizza is topped with marinara, roasted garlic cloves, onion, bell peppers, marinated tempeh, vegan buffalo chicken, and cashew cheese. The addition of marinated tempeh made it taste like a Philly cheesesteak! The cost was approximately $15 for a whole pizza.
I enjoy the fast meal options at this restaurant, such as hot rice, vegetables, soups, vegetable sushi, and salads. They also offer a variety of drinks and other items to meet your needs.
The only standout feature of this Whole Foods is its downtown location. Other than that, everything else was average. Prices were typical high for Whole Foods. If you're in other parts of town, I recommend trying out a New Seasons or a co-op for better selections and lower prices. While I do have a soft spot for Whole Foods, it didn't quite measure up in this case.
Whole paycheque! Great products! Picked up some spritz freshments and cheeses for my overnight train trip to Los Angeles.
