They don’t even bother to ask customers for their names, instead inputting random initials like NN or JH for orders. Phone orders are discouraged because they don’t want to be interrupted during busy times, and customers are directed to order online instead. Additionally, they throw away leftover food at the end of the night instead of donating it to shelters, missing a chance to help others while also benefiting from tax deductions. The working conditions are uncomfortable; it can get as cold as 55 degrees inside during winter and uncomfortably hot in the summer due to overly powerful ventilation that cannot be adjusted. If you enjoy the service from someone, don’t count on them being there for long; turnover is extremely high. Managers on salary even take a portion of the tips meant for employees who earn close to minimum wage. The high turnover at Rovente Pizzeria is definitely a concern.
