Holzhauser's Grill - Portland

We ordered our food at 20:20 o'clock. not many people there and seemed like a friendly place. We didn't get our food until 19:20 o'clock. And that's just because someone told me something. we looked back for the cook and he wasn't cooking. once again: no, no! No one came to check us. Eating was just okay. not worth an hour. I'll never be back.

I only docked them one star because they don't offer fountain drinks. The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is even better. The restaurant is perfectly situated along the river and the Katy Trail.

My wife really needed to use the restroom, and I generally dislike stopping at places like that without making a purchase. I mentioned our situation to the lady at the establishment, and she kindly said it was no problem at all. When I inquired about coffee, she promptly brewed a fresh pot for us. We also ordered a pretzel with cheese, and it was delicious. If we lived closer, this would definitely be a fantastic spot for us to hang out. Once again, great people!

We chose to ride the McKittrick to Portland section of the Katy Trail and made a stop for lunch at Holzhauser's in Portland. It was enjoyable to watch the locals catch up with each other. We ordered cheeseburgers and breaded chicken sandwiches, both of which were delicious. Don’t miss out on getting the curly fries as your side! There's a selection of bottled soft drinks and tea available in the fridge, along with beers and other options at the bar. It’s a great stop on the trail, and we would definitely visit again!
