Barista - Portland

Not a welcoming atmosphere and their drinks are just okay ..Don’t recommend this shop and won’t be back.

This business is located in the Hamilton Building which was built in 1893 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

No nonsense coffee shop within easy walking distance of our Portland hotel. Masks were required if you weren't eating or drinking, but they didn't check vaccination status. There was only one guy working the morning we popped in, and he was friendly ish. My husband ordered his usual super large latte, and I ordered a normal sized hazelnut latte with almond milk. He was quick with the coffee making, knocking my husband's drink out before moving on to mine. The drinks were good warm and flavorful which was appreciated as we sat by the windows gazing out on the overcast day. It hit the spot and warmed us up to start our day.

Yes the coffee is as amazing as you have heard but you know what is the real sleeper hit? Their almond croissants!! I wish I had asked them where they 're from, if not made in house. It is one is the best almond croissants I 've ever had and it pairs perfectly with their coffee. The hazelnut latte stands out as being pretty special to me: not overly sweet and actually tastes like hazelnuts. But all the other regular drinks are also great. The guys are also very friendly! I don 't live in the area but I wish I did if only for those croissants...
