Atlantis - Portimão

Went to visit an old favourite in early May. Atlantis is now a buffet style eatery under a different name. Looks a bargain at first but cheaper priced menu are salad bars and you Have to pay more for decent proteins. Didn't bother going in after studying menus.

Decided to eat there one evening as the menu looked good. Seated immediatly and chose our table outside. The waiter took our drinks order but it took a while for the drinks to appear... Limited cocktail menu too. We browsed the menu when we got our drinks and both decided on our meal, closing our menus and putting them to one side. At least ten minutes passed between us doing so and a waitress who I think could have been the manager coming to take our order. During this time another couple were seated and served but we were overlooked... I think the manager realised we were still waiting and came to take our order herself. After a little while we were served and the meals themselves were lovely. I had the seafood pasta which was absolutely bursting with prawns and muscles great choice! Manager came to check on us a little later on to make sure we were happy. Lovely food, average cocktail, not brilliant service. Would probably eat there again because of the food, but wouldn't recommend going there too late.

This is the best restaurant in Paris da Rocha by far, excellent choice of food, friendly staff, we visited twice during our weeks stay and would definitely recommend, both times we went the food was first class and plenty of it , lots's to choose from on the menu meat and fish dishes all served with fresh veg and new potatoes for those of us that don't won't chips every day !,! very reasonable prices for the quality of food and service ,

This one avoid food not cooked and food frozen did not even come to ask if we wanted drinks I would not recommend to nobody

I visited here with my husband ... it has changed hands since we last visited and we where very disappointed that they no longer do Steak on a stone or Prawns on a stone ... food was average .. service very slow so dont be in a rush
