Fantastic links course. Demanding but fair, just don’t venture any further than the semi rough. We stayed in the Dormy House and after a great Welsh Breakfast, enjoyed a Sunday morning tee time and some very generous weather. It was late October and the perfect conditions coincided with Wales v France, so the course was maybe a little quieter than usual. We had great service from the team in the clubhouse and from the pro shop and used the excellent practice facilities before going out. The course itself was in great condition, greens were true although a bit slow for our liking. In fairness probably the length they need to be to maintain year round condition. Great views from every hole and lots of wildlife even the Peregrine Falcon has a good grasp of etiquette, kindly dragging its kill off the green as we approached! A premium experience, will definitely be coming back here.
Rest Bay beach, a beautiful place where the sands meet the rocks. The children can have a safe swim in the pools created by the tide and you can also pick a perfectly shaped rock, to paint at home :
An absolutely amazing place. It has to be one of the best courses in the UK. A tough test of golf in the wind but the course was in superb condition. The professional and bar staff were very friendly as well.
After being turned down for the Bucket Listing course in 2010 at @Celtic Manor due to their limited afternoon tee times, I decided to explore an alternative venue for my money. I must say, I was not disappointed—it has now become my top choice! The course is challenging, but what really stood out to me was the breathtaking beauty of each hole. The greens are well-maintained and true to play, making it well worth the £160 I spent. I will definitely return without hesitation. The coastal views are stunning, making you wish for a 10-hour round. Although I played alone and was behind a group of four, there was never a wait, which kept the game moving smoothly. While many courses have a signature hole, in my opinion, every hole here could be considered a signature hole! If you’re thinking of playing and can afford the green fee, I highly recommend it. This course surpasses others I’ve played, including Littlestone, Princess, The Addington, and Burhill. Go and enjoy it!
