Restaurante O Almocreve

We stumbled on this place whilst doing a motorbike tour of the Douro valley It is really good, the rooms are well appointed and really clean The pool is excellent and the gardens are lovely and immaculate and nothing was too much trouble They have...secure parking for the motorbike (not that you need it as the area is so quiet) We ate in the restaurant and it was absolutely excellent we went for the local dishes of lamb etc which was first class and really tasty and the house wine was top quality also Gluten Free was easy and well provided for both at dinner and with bread at breakfast the next day The girls that worked there were lovely and were really helpful and we had a long chat with the young lady who owned it and she was delightful and so helpful in helping us choose where to travel next in Portugal (with her help we chose Obidos)

The food was really great, atmosphere was nice and the service was very very nice, professional and helpful.

Fantastic House for a good weekend. Very well sanitized very friendly maids and a great restaurant. I recommend.

Last weekend, I had a good experience at the Almocreve´s House. It is a beautiful place at the mountains! The staff was very attentive, friendly, pleasant and competent. The cleanliness couldn´t have been better. The room is comfortable. Food quality surprised me in a good...way. All the plates were delicious! Overall, it was fantastic! The real place to relax and have some good moments with my family.

Nice dinner, our choose was Costeletão and was good as expected, sided with local sparkling wine. Starters and deserts were good too. The room is pretty, following local style. Service was nice too. The meat comes floating in olive oil and it's expected and...good. It's Portuguese best! The vegetables were over cooked as usual in Portugal
