Restaurante Ze Calha - PORTAGEM

This restaurant used to be very good but my latest visit was very disappointing. All the dishes were very salty and the restaurant was clearly understaffed which made the service rather unprofessional.

We used to come here many times, for the excellent Porco Iberico skewers, but since a m few years, prices are going up while quality is going down… The last meal was all fat, hardly any meat on the plate. And only luke warm … served with a plate of chips… No… think this was our last try here. Better skewers in Arronches, a Estalagem.. far better !

We came before dinner opened but they offered us to have bacallao and carillada and the meat could be one of the best i tasted. /Sweden7373

The food is very good and the roasted chicken is among the best in the all world ... at least in former times it was! However for, during years visiting Ze Calha, we had several issues such as 1) long delays 2) forgotten requests 3) wrong bill 4) not nice at all reception 5) etc In summer time stay outside. Most of the guests here are Spanish.

Been going to this place for 10 years. The porco preto skewers and chicken used to be very good. Now, they are going for the easy money ... inferior meat quality.
