Shenanigans - Portage

We were looking for a place with outdoor seating on Wednesday night. We had never been to Shenanigans, so we called to see if there were seats on the terrace. The woman we talked to (Roxanne) told us that they would close early because it was unusually slow, but since we were a family of 5 with 3 small, they would remain open. When we wore up, we were hesitant first because we were the only people, but we were pretty quick. The food was great. Roxanne was friendly and attentive, although she basically closed herself. I honestly did not understand why it was not more business, but I am grateful – my children insisted on running around the terrace. After talking to Roxanne and reading some of the negative reviews, I think that slowness is due to the current nationwide shortage of work and competition across the street. The place deserves more business than tonight IMO.

If great food and atmosphere is what you are looking for, this is the place. I had the mushroom Swiss burger and it was amazing. It had a nice car on the bungalow and the burger was cooked to perfection. Tish, my waitress, was sweet and made me feel like I was special. I travel a lot for work and it is nice to know a place I can go for good food and conversation, not to mention its covered terrace for the beautiful sunny days. Thanks Tish and Shenanigans. I can't wait to get back through!

Not too busy, the bartender Roxxane is a pleasure to chat with. I had the turkey bacon wrap that was delicious.

Had a nice evening with some friends. Our waitress/bartender was a superstar. She was very attentive, helpful and curious. I'm sorry I can't remember her name. I really enjoyed the Shenanigans Burger. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I used to like this place when it first opened, but it would seem like it has gone downhill over the years. The last two times I've been there, it was completely dead. The food is just okay. I had wings with times, and they have also gone downhill.
