Cinco De Mayo Mexican Grill - Portage

My first visit to Cinco de Mayo restaurant gets a big thumbs up! I ordered the menudo, and it was so delicious, especially with a MargaritaFood: 5/5

I 'm extremely disappointed. I enjoyed Cinco de Mayo as a casual spot for mexican food with low/average prices for a while now, but for some reason, they 've decided to raise the prices exponentially without improving the quality of the food in any meaningful way. $4.00 for an underseasoned taco? $8.00 for a large side of rice? These prices are outrageous and insulting. I would much rather drive around the corner to Mazamitla and pay $2.75 for tacos that are worth the money and well seasoned. Whoever made this decision must be delusional. These tacos are not worth $4.00, and mind you, I got CHICKEN tacos. They 're clearly trying to take advantage of people 's ignorance and I hope people are attentive enough to notice and take their business elsewhere. Adios, Cinco De Mayo!

This was definitely a treat for the taste buds. The service was excellent and mind you they were getting busy for dinner (around 4pm). The taco salad was was very impressive. My partner had the chicken chimichunga, and he being a chef, he was impressed. The guacamole is amazing! We will definitely be back.Food: 5/5

The menu listed online is absolutely not the same as the menu in the restaurant. Prices and menu items totally different. We went expecting a reasonably priced Mexican dinner with familiar dishes and did not find it here. Also, one free refill on fountain drinks, which is ridiculous. Food was so spicy our mouths were on fire. I was ready to pay extra for refills but the wait staff vanished. Worst service I've had and even more disappointing and high priced food. I've never paid so much for food at a Mexican restaurant. I really don't understand how this place has such good reviews. Am I missing something? Portage is full of dining options, go anywhere else.
