Lita's Station - Portage la Prairie

In the attempt to support our local restaurant owners, we stopped at the let’s station to the breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the creative representation of the train memorabilies including trains running on a stretch around the upper walls of the restaurant. some of the...the tables have a glass plate that work toy trains under the glass that work, sure to entertain a small child while the parents could finish their meal. certainly a meeting place for nostalgic train enthusiasts over coffee. I wait to take my grandson here on a milkshake if restrictions allow that more than one household sit together in restaurants

Enroute along Highway 1 last week we wanted a place for lunch that was not a chain or gas station Fast Food Joint. Nothing on the highway, so drove down the main road and came over Lita's. Had all the characteristics of a small private...and operated establishment and it was not disappointed. The food was excellent and quite expensive and the Lord who served us was attentive and committed definitively the time it needed to get from the highway.

Overall, Lita's Station found a picturesque diner. It seems that the owner is railway enthusiasts. They had a table with running locomotives while you were sitting there. The food was good and plentiful.

My husband and I stopped for breakfast. The prices were reasonable. The food was simple, but good. My hashbrowns lubricated like they fried in old oil so I couldn't eat them. The staff was friendly and jovial. We'd probably go back.

Stopped for a lunch break while driving cross Canada. This place turned out to have good food at very reasonable prices! I particularly loved the homemade pie!! But, even more special was thedisplay of over 1000 model trains! Fun and interesting!
