Aqua Takeaway - Port Sorell

A solid choice for an ingenious and tasty meal. I've been here many times and would recommend it to anyone who wants a great feed.

We ordered a simple meal of fish and chips, consisting of only 3 items. When we asked how long our order would take, we were told it would be about 20 minutes due to a small crowd. However, we ended up waiting a total of 42 minutes, with only 1 or 2 people seen working in the kitchen and 3 others chatting. The staff member who brought us our food apologized for the wait, but the chef did not acknowledge the delay. Furthermore, the fish was overcooked and not enjoyable. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

After waiting for our phone order for 45 minutes, we decided to give this restaurant another chance despite previous long wait times. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. We observed the staff in the kitchen and noticed poor hygiene practices. The owner was seen wiping his nose with his hand and preparing food without washing. Another staff member dropped a cloth on the floor and then picked it up to use. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Excellent food and service. feathered our family with flocks, crumb flathead and chickenburger. haufen flathead and huge piece flock. they were so big that we could not eat all our chips. people who run it were very friendly.

We happened on this little cafe, looking for our last seafood meal, before departing Tasmania. This was an absolute gem. The GF fish, chips, potato cakes and all round service was over and above what you would expect from a takeaway cafe. The staff are...friendly, the surroundings are clean and they even provide real crockery and cutlery, if you do want to eat in. It certainly was the best seafood we had enjoyed, after an entire week in Tasmania definitely worth the trip to Port Sorell, travelling from Devonport.
