Rice Bistro - Port Orange

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. The owner personally came to our table to discuss the vegan options available and assured us, "Pick a dish and I can probably make it vegan." She certainly delivered - the panang curry was absolutely delicious. We tried one with all vegetables and another with tofu, and it has quickly become our new favorite dish. In addition to the curry, we also enjoyed the spring rolls. This family-owned restaurant offers a variety of vegan options and is definitely worth checking out!

The menu at this restaurant is very extensive, offering both vegan and non-vegan options. Most of the non-vegan items can also be made vegan. I ordered the fried rice with tofu, eggplant dish, Tom Yum soup, spring veggie rolls, and sesame balls for dessert.

The food quality at this restaurant is excellent, with no complaints about the taste. However, be sure to specify if you are vegan or vegetarian when ordering dishes labeled as "tofu" on the menu. My husband and I assumed that "tofu" meant the dish was vegetarian or vegan, but his Mapo tofu dish actually contained pork. When we asked the manager to switch the dishes, she initially seemed defensive but eventually agreed. Despite the mix-up, she did not charge us for the pork dish.

This place needs 10 stars. the owner came by to talk to us about the vegan options and said: "pick a dish I can probably make it vegan". she has not disappointed, the panang curry is amazing. have a veggie and a tofu and this is our new favourite dish. so tasty, also loved the spring rolls! so a great family restaurant with many vegan options. Don't miss it!
