Our Deck Down Under - Port Orange

This is the best seafood I've ever had for the price. The only downside is that ordering your food can be a bit of a hassle, but the food itself is fantastic.

Three of us ate there Friday afternoon 5 pm on July 1, 2011. My husband I order the fried oyster dinner which included onion rings and coleslaw. Our friend ordered the steamed seafood platter. THE FRIED OYSTERS WERE THE WORST OYSTERS I HAVE EVER HAD-not only taste but the batter was awful and greasy. The onion rings had a thick batter and also GREASY. Our friend's platter was just mediocre for price. The crab shell was mushy as was the crab inside. Unable to crack or eat. The melted butter was awful. In dipping the shrimp, it was either rancid, mixed with something else or old. Unable to use. Atmosphere and service great- but stick to a hamburger.

We ate there 4 nights we were in Daytona last July 2010, coming back in June 2011, plan to eat there at least 4 times. Our favorvite place!!

Starting with placing our order, we didn 't like the setup. The food was just really not good. I had the special, a stuffed shrimp wrap no it was shrimp AND deviled crab stuffing in a wrap. It was edible but not good. We also had a grilled flounder sandwich, probably our fault some fish don 't make good sandwiches grilled, but it was bad. Steamed spicy peel and eat shrimp was ok simple, just old bay, at least not over cooked. Their pasta salad was a little odd, with broccoli and beans and very bland, their hush puppies were average. Overall just not a good experience and not good food. Boo where the locals go usually means run away, which is what we should 've done.

Best Shrimp around; blackened Mahi Mahi is also A-Plus !
