The Red Eyed Crab - Port Norris

Stopped here after a sail on the A J Meerwald, enjoyed the crab corn chowder along with fried oysters and flounder. Food was excellent and service friendly. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This was our first time at the Red Eyed Crab and we loved it. The atmosphere is great, everywhere you look is a nautical item. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They truly want you to have a wonderful experience. Now for the best part, the food. I started my meal with the crab and corn soup. My wife had a salad. On to the entrees. My wife went with the crab pot. It is a variety of different crabs. Snow, Dungeness, and blue claws. She loved every bite. I went with the surf turf special. Delmonico steak was a perfect medium with a nice size lobster tail. We really enjoyed our time at The Red Eyed Crab and will definitely be going back.

When I came here two years ago, I ordered the New England clam bake and was unimpressed. The clams were overcooked and was like chewing rubber. I discarded the remaining clams for fear of choking. Flash forward two years later my bf and another couple (all locals) decided to have dinner here again. I am glad we did. I ordered the broiled shrimp and scallops and it was cooked nicely and tasted very good. My baked potato was perfect and also enjoyed the salad. BYOB too. I added two more stars for a nice memorable dinner.
