4 stars during the lunchtime0 star during the dinner lunch: 4 stars their supposing are now watered a few years ago. not sure whether this should include a wider public, but it has lost the authenticity of the Korean gam-ja tang that should have lots of chili oil in the suppe andperilla seeds, but both asspects are missing years ago. the soup/Broth has no longer this deep spicy taste. Rather it is bland, perhaps this is better for people who are new to this dish, but it has lost its authentic taste. 4 stars dinners 1 star they list their working hours as a closing around 9 o'clock, but last call for eating is 8pm and their signature stone-talz last call is around 7:15 o'clock. in the rule, each suppe is served with the stone pot rice, but if you order food in the last 7:15 o'clock, they are served regular rice, but still full menu price calculated. on the menu the rice with stone pot is indicated as a few dollars more than the regular rice. when the owner reads this, I suggest that they change the hours of operation to close 8 o'clock not 9 o'clock as it is enormously misleading. even if they do not have the stone pot rice from 7:15 o'clock, they should have several written hints in the restaurant and on the menu that it is not served past 7:15 o'clock. Moreover, orders placed during this time should receive a discount for the price difference between the stone top-free and the regular rice.
Taste was 100% authentic and tasty! The soups were on point and the seafood pancake was perfectly crispy outside while still soft inside. Only slight downside was service was a bit lacking.
Hidden gem, love their spicy pork bone soup and cold noodles!
Homey Korean flavours at Tangmaru in Port Moody.I was extremely sad when it temporarily shut its doors during COVID last year not because it doesn’t get business… this spot is PACKED with customers during lunch and dinner, but because it’s our go to spot for 감자탕 or Pork Bone Stew ?.It’s such a great spot but it always slips our mind when we’re thinking of where to eat ? glad to have went the other day.As always, we ordered their specialty, the Pork Bone Stew, and a Katsu as well. Notable mention goes to their KIMCHI. If y’all like young kimchi, this is for you. I prefer mine more aged but this was quite addicting.
