Original's Cafe Mexicano - Port Moody

Charming little house with indoor dining or garden patio dining. The food was authentic and took time to cook to perfection. Not a fast food- in and out restaurant. This is one to lounge and take in the atmosphere. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the cocktails as well!

This place looks like someones run down house and they just put some unstable Mickey Mouse patio InThe back yard to serve food . After an hour and a half wait we got a table . Which was so wobbly to sit . The girl who was serving us was nice . Presentation of the food was good but the food itself has no taste . The Chicken enchiladas my husband order has just boiled chicken rolled up in a tortilla and a very spicy red sauce was put on it to make it spicy. Black beans has no flavor. Just boiled mashed up beans with some salt . The Chile Riano has Only the top part of the chilli .i’m not sure what happened to the rest of the chilli. There was no side of rice or salad or guacamole or any salsa with any of our five entrées. Would not be going there again ever.

I'm glad I checked this place out, it's a really cute house turned restaurant with so much character. Service unfortunately was slow, but the time we had with our server was great, they were super friendly and made us feel at home. Food was honestly average for an authentic Mexican restaurant but definitely on the pricier side. It was delicious nonetheless. We would 100000% come back for the cocktails, they were worth every penny! So delicious!

Service was snail speed. Slowwwww. But staff are really friendly and the quality of the food is good! The spicy margaritas were amazing. We got the queso but it hardens quickly! I look forward to going back here in the future.

We wanted to try this place as it has 4 stars in google. Having been to Mexico, we expected a lot from this place. We ordered Chillaquilles and Baja Style Fish Taco. Waiting time for our food was an hour. When our food arrived, the portions were really small for the price of it. My taco was falling apart as well. It would be better if they doubled the tortillas.
