Red Barn - Port Lavaca

Today's dining experience was incredible! The pork tenderloin special was undoubtedly the best I've ever had. We had a group of 21 hungry firefighters, and there were no issues with fulfilling our food requests.

Cool place outside of town. On motorcycles and saw sign for this place . Buffet had brisket, sausage and meatloaf, today Monday, chicken on Tuesdays. Salad with all the fixings and sides were good.

If I can rate zero star, I'll do so. I ordered a medium cook steak,but it came out as overcook. Worst part is, after I told the kitchen about this, the chief (highly doubt he deserve this title) insisted the steak is medium cook and refuse to do anything. Like diacarded my $30 in the ocean. Worst dinning experience in my life.

Now, let me talk about the food! It was all amazing, each dish bursting with flavor. The steak was incredibly tender—you could nearly cut it with a fork! I’ve never had a ribeye that was so flavorful, with excellent marbling and perfect char. The decor of the restaurant was beautifully rustic, well-designed, and reminiscent of a charming red barn, creating a warm ambiance. Even the restrooms were lovely and added to the overall charm of the place. Finally, I have to mention the price—the value for what you get is outstanding. We were on a budget, but everything was well within our means. My husband and I had a special occasion to celebrate, and the restaurant made it truly memorable for our three-year anniversary. Time really does fly! A huge thank you to everyone at the Red Barn for making our experience so wonderful. We pray for your continued success and well-being. If you’re looking for a special place to stop and enjoy a little slice of heaven, this is the place to go!

This restaurant definitely feels like a family business rather than a franchise. The building itself, reminiscent of an old dance hall, is tastefully decorated, adding to the charm. The golden country music playing in the background brought back fond memories from my childhood, making the atmosphere even more inviting. I highly recommend this spot for gatherings with family and friends, as it’s perfect for good times. During the week, they offer a buffet with an all-you-can-eat option for around $13.95, which includes a drink. I opted for a single-trip buffet for $10.95, and it was quite generous. Note that they only open for dinner on Friday nights, when the prices increase significantly for steak night. This restaurant is definitely worth adding to your lunch bucket list!
