Babe's Pub - Port Hardy

Located by the docks on the waterfront the view is great. The service and food were prompt. The server did well explains the specials and attending to me immediately. The calamari on this visit was cooked well but the batter and dip lacked flavor.

Great place to dine in Port Hardy,this is part of the Glen Lyons Hotel there.They have both a restaurant and a pub where you can get the same food.Favourite of the locals.

While the view at this restaurant is stunning, my wife and I were disappointed with our dining experience. The chef seems to have misplaced his salt shaker, as everything we ordered was severely under-seasoned. My fish and chips were soggy and lacked flavor, while the calamari was crispy but tasteless. The beef vegetable soup tasted like it came straight from a can and was lacking in beef. Even the broccoli soup my wife had was just "ok." Overall, we will not be returning to this restaurant, despite it being part of the hotel. I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

During our travels, we often opt to dine at the hotel bar for convenience. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the quality of the food. The hamburger I ordered was overcooked and dry, and the fries were limp and unappetizing. It seemed like they had been reheated multiple times and were mostly scraps from the bottom of the pan. Despite this, the service was excellent and the beer served was cold and refreshing.
