Think of Rotary Club luncheons in a Northeast Ohio city in the 1970s and you’ll have the food at this golf “clubhouse” restaurant down to a tee: I visited this place on a Tauck small group tour that was clearly pinching pennies. Rubber chicken, stale bread rolls, tinned veg, and a eerily nostalgic ”whip and chill” like custard- like dessert without any discernible flavor other than whipped “cream.” All of this was glumly presented by mirthless servers amidst dusty and depressing crushed velvet surroundings. There are certainly other choices for lunch in this part of beautiful Normandy near Omaha Beach. Find them! And if your tour company lists this dreary place as a lunch stop, find another tour company!
Rather mediocre restaurant. We had dinner twice but it was both times the same. The obers on the other hand were good and helpful.
We were staying at the hotel and wanted lunch. The staff was very nice. They were able to make a vegan meal and it was very good, I loved a purée they made. My husband had a burger.
We filled the place for a large fu cito. And yet we received some of the best food, starting with a selection of hams, pate and salmon, followed by excellent beef on a pastry crust and a berries dessert. Service was efficient if not too friendly
We were part of a large group and that always presents challenges for wait staff but they all stepped up to the plate and we were served a pleasant dinner. Food was well prepared and well presented. Atmosphere is comfortable with lots of natural light. It was a very pleasant evening considering the fact it was a pre-arranged meal for our large group.
