Baakens Bistro - Port Elizabeth

This is a rustic little bistro in the Baakens valley, which serves a series of traditional (burger and pasta) to interesting (sweet French toast or crushed kartoffel with färsen) meals. they also do standards like avoe toast, cake (very tasty) and coffee. pay attention to their specializations (at the moment there is a pasta that specializes in the midweek for example). additional bonus, they do not calculate corkage. recommended to breakfast lunchtime,- dinner or in between. great place.

Very cooler place, have been driving on the past for many years and now on my bike I was to stop...big fresh food, lekka cappuccino and great service! we'll be back soon, thanks.

This bistro was visited twice while in the test game in st georges. although compact it has a relaxing friendly ambiente and the decor is based on previous harbour earthquake. . eating is delicious and there is a varied menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. the prices are very favorable for quality and quantity. the staff are friendly and yet professional and are thrilled to enjoy their meal. the apple cake, which is more like a apple sponge, is well recommended as the chocolate cigars. the coffee is a perfect end for a wonderful meal. this place is a jewel and I can understand why it is busy.

Absolutely delicious all around. This is a must when you are visiting PE. The service is outstanding,friendly staff plus the chef sings and the owners work magic in the kitchen. The food was delicious and was great value for money. Highly recommended for any meal!
