Shakahaar Pure Veg (shakahaari)

Been there 5 times in 3 days during our visit to Havelock (11th to 13th Dec 2021). Food was cooked afresh then and there. No old stock. No re-heating. Strongly advise vegetarians to prefer this. Don 't just judge by hotel looks. It 's basic but food quality and quantity is On a funny note, Wife is always right . If mommy/wife has rated this best then it has to be good.

They provide best quality food. Very homely cooked food. Good ambience and friendly staffs. Would recommend to anyone who wants to relish vegetarian food. crispy chilly babycorn is my favourite ,Lip smacking it was. I went to this restaurant daily during my 4 night stay at symphony resort. And ofcourse its best for vegetarians! : From happy customer!

I see many negative reviews about this place, but maybe when i was there they took some suggestions and made changes. For veg. this was only option. Regardless of only veg restaurant, the quality of food, the freshness everything was on point. The food was delicious and felt home cooked. The only issue was lack of everything, most of the things from menu were not available. But the lack of things felt in overall island.

Pure veg restaurant, in marwari style. Decent place. Value for money. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired.

At Havelock Island, The Shakahaar IS one and only PURE VEGETATION RESTAURENT. LOCATION is at Govind Nagar Beach No.-5 at the right side of the road when you travel to Kala Patter Beach from Jatti. You can not see it at first site, because it is not on the main road. Only a small flax signboard Hanged here 50 meters walk to narrow street. It is run not in a beautiful building, but in a neat n clean hut.The food served here is really delicious
