Jasmine Bistro - Port Angeles

I’ve visited this restaurant twice during my time in the area, and the food has consistently been outstanding. The staff is friendly and well-informed. The space is a bit small, so larger groups should definitely make a reservation! The vegetables are perfectly cooked, neither over nor underdone, and they’re not shy when it comes to spice levels! If it’s your first time trying Thai cuisine, I highly recommend starting with a pad Thai and a curry dish—it's the best of both worlds!

We ordered the clams hot pot (spice level 2 out of 3), Thai paella, and Dungeness crab fried rice (both at spice level 3 out of 5). The spice level scale was a bit confusing; for me, the clams were a low medium, while the fried rice dishes leaned towards high medium. As someone who's East Asian with a decent spice tolerance, I found the heat to be quite manageable. As a seafood lover, I was thrilled with how fresh everything tasted. The sautéed clams were delicious, the paella had uniquely flavorful rice, and the fried rice was packed with high-quality crabmeat. So, why not a full five stars? The rhubarb margarita was good but not particularly memorable, and I wasn’t pleased when they substituted broccoli for the advertised snow peas in the crab fried rice. Luckily, I was already enjoying the meal, as I have a strong dislike for broccoli. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I’ll definitely be back for more seafood!

As for service, the staff was friendly and attentive. If you choose to sit outside, just be prepared for a bit of a wait, but it's definitely worth it. The ambiance was pleasant; we dined outdoors, but from what we could see, the interior was nicely decorated.

The Pad Thai tasted good but I was disappointed with the lack of toppings and veggies, it was basically just saucy noodles.

Pet friendly outdoor seating. You can tell the menu is fusion with Thai and other cuisine. We had the Seafood Paella and Pad See Ew. It was so good. The paella comes with scallops, salmons, clams and mussels with curry flavor. The lady made sure our dog has water and umbrella to covered. Although we didn't sit inside but the inside looks cute. The menu for many other interesting items. I can't wait until our next visit.
