Sushi Alberni - Port Alberni

Was everything perfect? Maybe not quite. I've had better tempura dipping sauce. I've had better gyoza. But the rest of what we were fed was pretty good, and the service was a standout. From what I understand, the the people currently running the place haven't been there for all that long. I don't know about how much previous experience they've had but I'm confident that, based on how apparent it was that they wanted us to be happy (for instance, they brought us a complimentary plate of goodies), they will iron out any shortcomings in the menu sooner rather than later and this will be one of the better sushi places (for the very reasonable price you pay here) on Vancouver Island.Give them a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We were here for lunch and ordered Philadelphia Roll, Prawn tempura and a rice dish (can't remember the name) had salmon on it. It was all very fresh, everything is made to order and the service was impeccable. I been here before and this is one of the 2 places I would only go for sushi. Thanks again for great food and service. Only thing that bothered me was it was cold in the restaurant, I think their furnace was not working that day. Enjoy your sushi :)

We stopped in and had the Rainbow roll, Philadelphia roll, Hawaii roll and assorted tempura. It was all very good. We particularly liked the Rainbow roll and Hawaii roll. The tempura was perfect. We would come back. Service was also excellent.

The sushi was so yummy! The service was excellent! We went here with a party of 8 and my husband doesn't eat fish. They set it up that he could order from the pub next door and eat with us. It was above and beyond! The portions are large, the fish is so fresh and our experience was memorable.

Excellent food! Excellent service! And very clean! Wonderful People! You won't be disappointed!! Always smiling, and they have lots to smile about????
