They use many artificial ingredients in their creoes and galetes, and finally their taste is not the best. Maybe it can be good for the moules with french fries, a tipical dish of the region.
It’s a busy place but offers decent seafood plate. I had to wait for a while but the dish (grilled mix of fish) was tasty. Most of the tourists go for mussels. It was a good rest in the shade of an umbrella. Some waiters can communicate in English.
15 euro menu was quality. huitres and crevettes, all good. sirloin steak, ok. a white fish in sauce, very good. and ils flottant en creme anglais, meringue in real custard, excellent. great view, good service. reasonable wine. real value for money in an overpriced tourist town
It is easy to overlook the restaurant, because it is situated on the first floor of the building with the side entrance. The ambience is not much, but the view is perfect and the service is very friendly. The food was pretty good, I had fish and my friends ate moules-frites. The price was very reasonable.
We went to the restaurant and had mussels. They were amazing really plump and juicy. I had cream and garlic my husband had roquefort sauce. Both were delicious. My daughter had a crepe-un complet. Also great and the whole meal was not expensive for 4 and with unique pichet of wine it came in at just under 60 €. Staff were friendly, service was quick and we had a great view in the heart of Pornic. We went back the next night too!
