Mueller Mountain Lodge - Pontresina

We stayed at the hotel although it looks like a historical building. The entire interior has been renovated and is a very clean, modern sensibility, high quality, build out and designed decor. They have a free small spa in the basement, that is very quiet and empty. With a sauna, Jacuzzi, steam room, and quiet lounge. It is clearly more than your average three star. More like a four star with a bit simpler services and style. Additionally, we ate in the restaurant and we loved our experience. This was our best meal Switzerland after a month of holiday. we have the Chef’s menu, and the courses show a high degree of refinement without being excessively and overtly “ creative”. The were subtle flavorings with refined executions of local dishes. For example, the deer medallions came with a very delicious polenta that looked to be a heritage grain, and a rich red cabbage rot kohl) that had rich flavor with some fermentation and high quality ingredients. Same for the salad with apples and walnuts, and a nice vegetable and beet soup. The dining room is very refined with wood paneling , white tablecloths, and very nice silver plate dinnerware. The dining room was quiet on a Tuesday night with just a few other diners. The waiters were very courteous, knowledgeable and professional and helped us in English.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Muller. The staff were extremely kind, friendly and flexible with our family and made us feel at home. Overall a fantastic experience, we could not fault it. We will be back!

The deer was very good, also the soups and the desserts we had. The Lasagna was ok, it did not overwhelm us like the rest. Most of the time, the waiter was very attentive, but when we finished and tried to get the bill, we had to wait over 20 minutes, even though there were not a lot of guests around us. That's what costs them the fifth star.

This is my all time favourite hotel, anywhere? I have stayed with them a number of times and they are always helpful, friendly and accommodating. The price you pay is very fair for what you get... amazing rooms (especially the older rooms or the Ca Rossa rooms!! , good food, great service and a friendly, warm place to stay that is close to almost everything in the Engadin valley.

Wunderschönes altes Haus mit neuen modernisierten, puristischen Zimmern. Da lässt es sich herrlich entspannen.. Super freundliches Personal. Sehr gute Restaurants... Komme sehr gerne wieder.
