A L'ABRI DU TEMPS CREPERIE - Pontivy

Not being a big fan of crepes and galettes, I enjoyed this cozy place a lot. It is a family run business, and all the crepes were delicious and made with love. The service was a little slow, but I have found this issue in many other places that weren't so authentic. We would be thankful with a little more help to choose our menu, as we don't know if we are ordering too much or too little for this kind of food. But in the end we had a fantastic dinner (one crepe each adult, plus a plate for the child, plus deserts for everyone) at a very reasonable price: little more than 40€ in total for 3 people. As we are nearby, we will return for sure.

We ate here three times during a one week stay at Lenvos. The menu has great choice for all tastes at a reasonable price.

Ever since my local crêperie closed down a few years ago I've been looking for somewhere just as good and now my search is over. The ingredients are fresh and plentiful, the menu has a good number of options to please any palette and in my opinion the prices are actually very good.

Visited this little French tearoom as it had such a high rating on TripAdvisor, and never having had a galette meal before, was expecting something quite special. The place was spotlessly clean and the service prompt, but not particularly helpful to the uninitiated. My wife had hoped there might be alternatives to crepes or galettes on the menu, since she is not a fan, and there were.....3 dishes only. Two were escalopes, and one was the chittling sausage, a Very acquired taste. The escalope was just a slice of chicken breast, seared on a hotplate and served with a white sauce, the ubiquitous frites and a very tired salad. Nothing special so far. I had a St Jaque galette and was expecting a meal. Expect again. When it arrived there was a plate sized galette, which I have to say was delicious, but sat in the middle was was a blob of what I can only describe as mixed veg coleslaw. With four rather small, nicely cooked scallops. No roe, just the meat. My first thought was ..... am I supposed to assume this is a meal or a starter? So still hungry I ordered the hamburgerand cheese galette.....with the ubiquitous frites. Sorry, but again the galette was delicious, but the filling lacked flavour and seasoning, swop the galette for a bun and BurgerKing does it better. Well on to the desserts, we both had crepes and they were delicious, and the flambé added a nice flavour touch. However the Irish coffees we had were very different. Excruciatingly sweet, and floating over a clear measure of piping hot alcohol, it was served with a straw! Ever sucked piping hot alcohol up through a straw? Not to be recommended! So all in all...two galettes, one escalope, two crepes, two irish coffees, 50cl cider, and 50cl of wine......80€. Seemed a bit expensive for what was essentially a tearoom meal.

We were staying in Seglien and this fabulous little creperie lies on the main road back into Pontivy (in a small place called Stival it was recommended by a British ex pat as the best creperie around. It certainly was! The children's menu was 6€ 50 and had the choice of a ham and cheese crepe or ham and chips, the dessert was a sugar or chocolate crepe and included a drink. The children were made very welcome. The adult selection was wide and there were a couple of options such as chicken escalope for the non crepe fans. We didn't have wine but felt that a 50€ bill for a 2 course meal, for a family of 5, was perfectly acceptable. We were advised to go at lunchtime which we did on a slightly dreary day, fully recommended and excellent despite the slightly slow service as the restaurant liked up. (It really was *that* good! There is a small car park available at the rear.
