It is sad to see the Istana Qadriyah Pontianak Fast as the abandoned palace.In fact there are so many historical events there like the emblem of garuda pancasila our nationally proud and designed by Sultan Hamid Al Qadry of the 3...the third generation of Sultan Al Qadry..

The Istana gives a mixed impression: a large majestic building, but it does not impress. Probably because the environment is not well maintained. Was too early and istana still closed, but had a walk around the veranda. Images paint a thousand words. Anyway, a must to visit when in Pontianak. And preferably during opening hours.

The environment is not so clean around the palace. I think the local government doesnt take a good care of this place.. I dont even need a ticket to enter the palace area.. There is a man whom I think is a guide there but more into the only one who cares this cultural building. He was friendly and nice..
