We should have left as soon as we saw how unkempt the restaurant was, but I remembered some of the best BBQ I've ever had came from a rundown place near Atlanta, so I decided to overlook the sticky tables and dirty windows. That turned out to be a mistake. The service was lackluster; we had to repeatedly flag down our waitress for drink refills after she walked by our empty glasses multiple times. Our food arrived at the same time as our fried green tomatoes appetizer. While the appetizer was hot, the main dishes were cold, indicating they let our meals sit while preparing the starters. My son's fries didn't arrive until we were finished eating, and everything was bland. My pulled pork sandwich was mostly fatty, with very little meat, and it had a strange taste—almost like soap. It was a disappointing $75 meal. Don't make the same mistake we did; choose a different place.

I wouldn't recommend this place. I placed a to-go order and when I arrived to pick it up, it was completely wrong. Thankfully, I double-checked. Instead of quickly preparing the pulled pork sandwich I ordered, they made me wait over 30 minutes while giving me constant assurances that it was coming soon. The pulled pork was already prepared, so it made no sense. The cook seemed to have no sense of urgency or concern. The service was truly terrible! Service type: Takeout.

The food was overly salty, and the manager seemed more focused on the TV than on the customers. However, our server was fantastic and was the only reason we decided to stay.
