Novas Pontes - Ponte Da Barca

We visited during our stay at Lima Escape campsite. It’s a short walk up from there and well worth it. There’s a spacious dining room or outside area in which to eat or drink. Excellent value and service , the house special cod dish and dourada were beautiful. All this with bread , a little patty, cheese or ham starters and a lovely bottle of wine for €47 for the two of us .

Despite all the positive reviews, we ended up with a very poor experience. We went for the Portuguese taste so ordered the bacalhau for two (if you visit Portugal you need to taste bacalhau). Now, mind when you get your fish from the freezer, then be careful because it might need some extra cooking time. And then just happened, the fish was served, but the inside still raw. What a shame! A wellbread cook should know how to handle its fish. It was reheated for us a second time but then the onions and chips were cold. So we ate the onions and chips, then the fish was served the second time. But the damage was already done. Will we come again, NO. And typically it is my opinion that everybody deserves a second chance, this time not with me. Note that the staff is very friendly, but that does not help so much as the food is poor.

Bom serviço e excelentes pratos de comida portuguesa, com especial destaque para a carne de cachena. Muito bom bacalhau.

Service un peu long, mais normal, tout est cuisiné a l'instant, mais quand on se regale avec des plats locaux et copieux , l'attente est vite oubliée

Óptimo sarrabulho. Recomendo ao sábado, bem servido e óptimoa relação qualidade preço.
