As we approached Gonikoppal, we came across a place called Cafe Coorg Family Restaurant. It is located in SP Arcade, 1st Block, Gonikoppal. There...are a few parking spaces available right outside the restaurant, and luckily, we got one right at the entrance. After entering the place, we felt as if we had entered a Cafe Coffee Day outlet, because some of the furniture, menu, and ambiance were like of a CCD Outlet. My hubby went to the restroom which was located inside the restaurant. Come to see, it was a ladies restroom and the gents one was located outside in the other part of the building. There was a couple of sinks which could be used by both ladies and gents to freshen up. I did not expect it to be so clean, but lucky for us, it was. Please keep this place in mind if you are travelling through Gonikoppal and need to take a quick bathroom break. While travelling, many people are scared of stopping in unknown restaurants not knowing about how hygienic it is. The waiter came to the table with the menu. We went through it and saw it was mostly sandwiches, milkshakes, coffee, tea, juices, and other snacks such as samosas, puffs. I went to the display near the entrance just to see what all was available for that day. Finally, we ordered the following: 1. Veg Roasted Sandwich: It was a sandwich made of white bread and the stuffing comprised of grated carrot, capsicum, cheese and some spices. It was just enough to fill my stomach as I normally eat very light while travelling. 2. Chicken Hot Dog: My hubby ordered for a Chicken Hot Dog. It comprised of pieces of chicken which had been deep fried, cheese and a few spices to add the extra flavour. The bun was long and reminded me of a sub sandwich. He said it tasted really spicy and was just enough to fill his stomach. 3. Vanilla Milkshake: These days, my favourite thing to drink is Vanilla Milkshake. The milkshake was thick and extremely sweet. It complemented the sandwich well as that was spicy and this was sweet. 4. Hot Chocolate: My hubby's all time favourite drink to order while visiting Cafes is a glass of Hot Chocolate. The right amount of milk, chocolate and sugar made this drink taste even better. The sandwiches were Rs. 60 and 70, respectively. The beverages were Rs. 80. One of my suggestions is that the amount of stuffing in the Veg Sandwich should be increased as it was very minimal. The ambiance is nice and there is a huge LED TV mounted on the wall. A few more customers entered after we did and before we knew it, the restaurant was packed. The service is quick and the waiters are friendly as well. So the next time you are passing through this area, please do drop in for a cup of coffee or a delicious sandwich. Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5
I liked this café for its cold coffee n cold chocolate.i would have rated with 5 stars if it wasnt for the fact that they seve all their bevreges n snacks in plastic which is officially banned.they go against the 'swachh bharat' mission . its realy sad to think the amount of plastic the use n throw often.with the profit they make they can easily afford non-plastic serving cutlery.also a home 4 house flies.but it has fabulous lighting n good coffee
One should definitely visit this place if they're going by. Food is of really good quality at a affordable price.
I went to this place with my family and I enjoyed a lot . I like this personally and I would suggest you should visit once.
Stop here for good food. You can get local food as well as the regular Indian food items as well. Nothing much special about the place.
