T.g.i. Friday's - Pompano Beach

My partner and I went there last night for dinner, service was a bit slow but they were busy so I expected it. I ordered a new item on the menu called tropical splash salad with either chicken strips or shrimp, I chose the chicken. My partner ordered steak. We both got the peach flavored iced tea. I ate just a bite of the chicken and it was just plain terrible leaving an unpleasant aftertaste that didn't go away till I went to bed. The salad itself was fantastic. I couldn't place the spice they used on the chicken but it wasn't ginger as it read on the menu. My fault for ordering something I was totally unfamiliar with. My partners steak was presented just as he ordered and he found it both tender and tasty. A football game was on the T.V. and evidently some one scored a touch down and a man in the next booth screamed his delight and half scared me to death, Knowing better what to expect there, I think I will go again, it's not 5 star but few restaurants are around here. It deserves at least three stars for quality of food (though I didn't like what I ordered) service, price and atmosphere, as long as you know what to expect the yelling is OK with me, our bill came to $36.00 with the tip included. That's not bad.
