The fact that she's been here and in business for 37 years is proof that they've always done things right. After I made my way through a beautiful veranda/terrace like area and entered the door, I immediately became a warm welcome not only by the owner, but also by his properly dressed perfectly well maintained staff. In addition to the veranda terrace it has a large, well decorated dining area with sparkling (my advise hand-dried) glassware and lace like tablecloths. There was a long list of food specialties, well thought out of meat, poultry and seafood. I went for her speciality of the evening a lobster Diablo together with her home salad. When the house salad arrived, it was simple, but crispy and fresh. The highlight of the salad was, however, that it came with a bowl of delicious creamy Italian house dressing, one of the best as well as the most tasty ever. The lobster came served on a good al dente linguini, a lobster allegedly of two pounds, but I actually think considerably bigger, more like good three pounds, a cover of shells, diablo sauce; a really delicious meal and for what I have more than reasonable prices at $54. When reviewing their menu and talking to their very professional waiter, Ken, I am really looking forward to trying some of their regular menu items, especially their calfs franchises, which I understand that they are hand-cut in house. The only drawbacks I have found are all relatively low, are a very shortened selection of wine, beautiful stable solid wood, but tirelessly hard on your bump without armchairs. But for what I had, for what I watched from the menu list and considering its rather elegant setting for an Italian restaurant in Pompano, it is as good as getting; therefore, five stars.
My friend and I went there on a Thursday to enjoy the music and not have a big Saturday night crowd. The service and the food were excellent. Beautiful ambience with a table near the fireplace. We shared to order Tortellini with peas and Prosciutto then had to chop herbs roasted lamb, served with garlic potato and asparagus. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, especially the spices on the lamb chops. The service was very good – they were there whenever you needed anything. We finished with Italian cheesecake and that was also good. The music was pleasant with volume exactly right so you could have a conversation at your table.
Absolutely fantastic! The waitress was very friendly and professional and a great help in stimulating delicious menu items. Our server made us delicious cocktails that were even from the menu! Our glasses were never empty and the food is delicious. We ordered the caprese, chicken Francesea, seafood Linguini and tiramisu. The house made mozzarella diving and the Francesca sauce was perfect zesty. The tiramisu could have stolen the night highly recommended! Prices are very reasonable in view of the large portion sizes and the high-quality ingredients. Owners have multi-year know-how in culinary facilities and show in the high-quality experience you receive. Don't hesitate, definitely over for food!
Have you ever played the game charades where you act out the word on the card? The word on the card here was Love. My wife and I brought our newborn son here to celebrate at our favorite Italian restaurant. We were waiting for a table and the owner or manager came over to ask which table we would prefer, he then welcomed and sat us at our table like it was his home. There was a great band playing and it felt like we were in a warm musical Italian living room. The wait staff were very attentive, the menu has original family recipes, and the food was soulful and delicious. It’s the only place I eat grilled octopus because it’s incredible and disappointing everywhere else in comparison. It’s the best. The owner then got up and started playing the piano and harmonica which was fun. This place is all heart and we can’t wait to go back.
Service is iffy. Chocolate cake was bomb. Too dark. Needs more light. Pink lighting was rad.
