It tasted ok but it would be better if the zucchini was just sliced in circles instead of being julienned. Our garlic bread was a cheesy Turkish break thing which was a crowd pleaser.
My husband and I took the family to Tiller's on Friday night for their all you can eat seafood special for $25 per person. We were a little skeptical at first so we confirmed it with a couple of our friends who are locals. When we arrived we were greeted by our wonderfully camp and sassy waiter Pete who informed us of the special and told us that the reason they are able to do this is because the owner, Richard, owns his own fishing boat and supplies the restaurant with all of the fresh seafood. We feasted on local King prawns, spanner crab, mud crab, oysters, mussels, scallops, clams, cuttlefish and because there was 10 of us they even sent out a whole baked Snapper. Such amazing value that you don't find anywhere else. The best part is children under 8 eat free all day everyday. The only problem is that they don't take reservations as it gets quite busy, so arrive early.
I write this review on my phone from the comfort of my toilet, because I had the misfortune of eating at Tiller 's a few hours ago. I opted for the burger and my wife had the pizza the previous night. They had run out of several other options on both occasions. The joke is on me. I am now suffering from some pretty violent sprays and the sound coming from the bathroom is reminiscent to the scene on Dumb and Dumber where Harry punishes the toilet bowl with a bout of laxative fueled, explosive and painful diarrhea. The burger has caused a dark, thick layer of hate to come out of me, the likes of which Vigo the Carpathian would be proud. I gave 2 stars because my wife said the pizza was o.k .
Loved this place! Perfect service : yummy food and best coffee on stradbroke. Very generous serving sizes. I ordered a mini pizza that was certainly not mini! They also catered for gluten free really well. And were even willing to decorate and serve a birthday cake for us. Would definitely go back!
Probably the best cafe/restaurant on the island. Look for the egg bacon roll, currys and cakes!
