The menu clearly labels vegan options, of which there are many to choose from. I particularly enjoy their Bengan Bartha, but everything I've tried has been excellent! The prices are very reasonable and the portions are large, often leaving leftovers for later. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about vegan dietary needs. It's definitely worth taking a trip across the bridge to the mainland for a meal here! (Updated review as of June 13, 2023)
The service at this restaurant was very good, although it wasn't my favorite. I would have rated it a 3, but my husband really enjoyed it. They were very accommodating and aimed to please. I requested a side of spinach, even though it wasn't listed on the menu, and they were able to provide it for me.
I have never had Indian food as good as the one at Masala Bay. I was impressed by the many vegan options on the menu. We ordered the vegetable pakora, aloo gobi, and banyan bharta (eggplant), and each dish was exceptional with a mix of delicious flavors and textures. We got our food to go, but the restaurant was following social distancing rules and had ample space for both indoor and outdoor dining. I highly recommend Masala Bay! It's definitely worth a short drive over the bridge. I would give them 5 stars if Happy Cow permitted it!
Beautiful location and only Indian restaurant in the surroundings
Very good service, but not my favorite. I would have rated it with three, but my man loved it. they wanted to be happy. I asked for a page of spinat, although it wasn't on the menu and I got it.
