The Irish croquettes were served cold. Although I rarely send food back, the table next to us also had the same issue and we were asked if we experienced the same problem. My dish was taken back, but before I could eat it, I experienced immediate stomach pain and had to leave. I left $20 on the table to cover the cost of my drink, soup, and appetizers, which were barely touched due to the cold temperature. As I left, the waitress asked where I was going and I explained that the food was not good. She insisted that $20 wouldn't cover the cost of the cheese steak, so I gave her another $20 to avoid confrontation. My wife witnessed this and felt it was unfair. She spoke to the manager, who agreed that it was inappropriate to charge us $40 for undercooked food and poor service. The manager refunded us the $40, but if my wife hadn't intervened, we may not have received our money back. After reading other negative reviews, it appears that the owner defends serving cold food. I hope they will improve their attitude towards food quality and service.
We recently celebrated a family event at Murph and it exceeded our expectations. The food was served hot and the leftovers were packed up for us the next day. The dishes were delicious, the desserts were incredible, and Bianca was very attentive to all of our requests. They also provided helpful recommendations. All of this at a very affordable price. They really took the pressure off of planning a large gathering. Thank you!
Some dishes had generous portions, but the calamari was disappointing and in small pieces. The service was good and quick. Overall, everything was fine, but the use of calamari was questionable. If my dad is complaining about something, it's probably not worth it.
I arrived at Murph's Hideaway after the kitchen had closed. After I mentioned I'd just arrived and only had eggs at home, the owner's fiance told she'd make me something. I chose Penni with Vodka Sauce and Shrimp it was delicious, as was the side salad. Murph's Hideway is family owned and run. Their son Matt is the bartender he was trained by Guinness to do A Proper Pour, which honestly makes a big difference. This restaurant is a local favorite. You'll enjoy the friendly atmosphere. I sure did!!
I have never in my life felt so uncomfortable being in a public setting. I felt like I couldn’t even take a bite of food without the waitress staring. Patty was extremely disrespectful. I’m not sure if it was because my family and I are minorities but she was Very rude. Looked so miserable and not very welcoming. From the moment we sat down it was like she didn’t even want to take our order. I’m not sure if it was a diversity issue because we aren’t locals and we are people of color but never in my life have I been treated so poorly by a waitress. She doesn’t deserve to work with the public with the attitude she gave to our family. Going out to eat with your family is supposed to be a pleasant experience. You should never leave being unhappy. I think this restaurant needs to evaluate the waitress they hired because it’s absolutely disgusting to have people like her working and representing your restaurant. Absolutely horrible customer service. Never have I felt so disgusted.
