Old Town Ice Cream And Candy

The ice here is amazing! The atmosphere is beautiful and very relaxed!

First off, the woman serving the ice cream was incredibly friendly! The ice cream itself was absolutely delicious. I had a black cherry root beer float, and the flavors were a perfect match. My sister opted for the peach cobbler, which she raved about, saying it was phenomenal. I highly recommend stopping in for a scoop or a float. I was eager to try their milkshakes, but I'll have to save that for next time. The portion sizes were generous, too! It was so good that I can’t wait to come back just to enjoy this place again.

This restaurant really isn't well managed. There's only one person handling two locations, which definitely affects the service. We waited quite a while for ice cream, and while the staff member was preparing shakes, he kept darting back and forth to the record store. His demeanor wasn't friendly at all; we felt rushed while choosing our flavors, and he even snapped, "Are you getting ice cream or what?" I don't think we'll be returning.

My family and I went in to get some ice cream and treats because my husband came here as a kid and it was a special memory for him. When we got there there was no one up front but a sign says to check the music store next door which I did. A man rudely said YES? I said are you working next door and he again rudely said and? I said (confused as to why he was being rude to me and why he was giving me daggers.....if looks could kill) we will be next door. I left my husband and kids to buy a few things after I told him what happened and I left as I wasn't going to give him any of my money. Not sure if it was because I was black, wearing a mask or both but he was RUDE. We are visiting from out of town and I will never come here again.
