Savini Gelato - Plovdiv

I no longer support Savini Gelato after their owner has shared anti-vegan messages on her public Instagram account. Savini Gelato may offer vegan options, but don’t respect the vegan lifestyle, and so I don’t want to support such a place anymore. Updated from previous review on 2019-08-15

I had chocolate and pear ice cream in a vegan waffle for 6 Leva (3 Euro). The ice was ok, tastefully nothing special, but especially expensive. Vegan waffle was absolutely taste-neutral. Price performance rather disappointing.

The vegan options were brilliant and very good as they were a nice option that was not the standard fruit sorbet. The dark chocolate, hazelnut and sesame were all awesome!

The restaurant avoids using unhealthy ingredients like palm oil, artificial coloring, and sweeteners. Some of the ingredients they use are organic. I only tried the dark chocolate gelato in a cup because the cone contains eggs, but they also offer fruit and nut sorbets.

The vegan options at this restaurant were excellent and unique, offering more than just the usual fruit sorbet. The dark chocolate, hazelnuts, and sesame were all delicious choices.
