Authentic Japanese cuisine family owned and operated. Sushi Chef is Japanese. Menu selection is limited. Don't let that down. Fish is fresh and good. It can be busy so you can wait a bit if you order something from sushi bar. Sukiyaki is one of my favorite hotplates. Service is great as they are under the staff.

Wonderful authentic Japanese restaurant with family property. Excellent service, high quality food, a real comfortable and cozy feeling, you can say everything prepared with care. They won't be disappointed. I usually don't give reviews and would love to keep this restaurant for me, but I think they deserve the 5 stars and I wish them continued business and success.

My wife and I and my children have been coming to Sato for over 16 years. My wife and children are very picky about their sushi and sato is the only place in Pleasanton they like. Everything was delicious! We ordered this: Agedashi Tofu Kappa Maki Tekka Maki Chicken Katsu Dinner Chicken Udon Avocado Special Roll We especially like the Maki reels. It had exactly the right amount of rice we enjoyed. The service is attentive. We were there at 6:00 and the place was full. Had a wonderful experience.

I really enjoyed Sato. We came here on a Tuesday lunch and there was only 2 other tables occupied. The clam ramen was very good and the nigiri was good as well. We?ve come here on another occasion and the tempura is great. The sushi pieces are on the smaller side but we still enjoyed them.
