Ascona Pizza Company - Pleasanton

We made our way to the bar area, and my son ordered a Coca-Cola. The ambiance was pleasant, and when I checked the menu, I asked one of the staff members behind the counter if the pizza was really good. He asked if I had ever been there before, to which I shook my head. Then someone in the back chimed in, claiming they had the best pizza in Pleasanton, so I thought, why not? I looked at my son, who had a skeptical expression, and he ordered a slice of pepperoni with two black olives, while I went for a paprika, pineapple, and pesto pizza. The slices were served quickly, and my son commented on the generous amount of olives on his pizza. Overall, he seemed pleased. I can confidently say it was indeed the best pizza in Pleasanton!

Would you like 5 star service? I am a small business owner and always strives to provide the best customer service, but a recent experience in this restaurant was incredible! It was a Friday night and my wife wanted to go for a pizza and a beer. We had heard Ascona had the best pizza, so we decided to go there and walk, sat at the bar and ordered our pizzas and drinks. The bartender we learned later was called Nick, came back immediately and brought the beer of my wife, but informed me that it would take a few minutes for mine, and asked if I wanted some water in the meantime. Then he went to the back of the bar, asked the waiter to bring me a glass of water and immediately put on his jacket and ran out of the door, into the dark, cold and rainy night. I thought it was weird, but I thought he had a sudden emergency. A few minutes later I saw that Nick came back, all wet from being in the rain, and he had a 6-pack of my choice of brewery! What I learned later is that they ran out of the brand I had ordered, so Nick drove the road to Safeway to buy the beer I had asked. Now is the ultimate in CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

This is a great little spot! Initially, I thought it was just another trendy pizza place, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a full bar as well. It’s definitely more than I expected! I just happened to drop by without any time constraints, and it turned out to be a fantastic place to unwind and enjoy a strong drink. I can see it being a nice escape for anyone looking to relax. Highly recommend it!

The cakes are made with high-quality ingredients, which does make them a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. The food is excellent, and they offer a fantastic selection of beers on tap that keeps me coming back.
