We were attending the festivities at Evermore Park and wanted to go for the full experience. We made reservations but still had to wait quite a while to be seated. There were a lot of people waiting and once we were sat there were a lot of empty tables. But staffing is difficult post/during the pandemic that never ends. Honestly our experience here was fairly good. The waiter didn't seem to know answers to most of our questions and had to keep going to ask someone. They were not really prepared it seemed for the change in season at Evermore. There was a limited menu which wasn't posted on their website or in the lobby that it wasn't the normal menu. The one highlight of the time here was even though it wasn't the food we expected or planned on getting we all 4 loved our meal. The food was amazing. We all had clean plates and set off for an adventure at Evermore
Vanders Keep closed to the public because they weren't busy enough. Well, the weekend I went to Evermore, there were a lot of people, and a lot of those people were hungry af. If Vanders Keep kept open even on weekends to the public, then I feel they would still be able to make some good money. I was wanting to run into the waiter who lied about his D&D character level pretending to know what he was talking about, but I guess not.
Vander 's Keep is not a restaurant anymore. Since I was going to the park anyway I asked around. It closed down a couple of months ago. If you really dig around on the website they list it as an event center now; but when I spoke with park employees during my visit to Evermore, I got the implication they just use it for storage now. All details not made remotely clear on the website. They did open the well-decorated space up for park guests to hang out in on a rainy evening which was very very fun(as part of the park experience). But as a restaurant my review is thus: Vander 's Deep is no longer a restaurant.
Evermore canceled our reservation one week before our scheduled dinner that was made 5 weeks in advance without any explanation. After doing some reseaxg I found that they closed to become an event center. I would have appreciated some explanation or apology for the inconvenience.
