Marea Grill, Bar & Lounge

The best grub in town! I would not recommend any other place to grab a bit to eat in Playa del Carmen. I'm still craving this delicious and authentic grub. COME COME COME!

We tried the coco loco, tropico, and something that was like a grapefruit maragarita. The tropico was SO GOOD it had passion fruit and was delicious. Very hip lounge feel live dj spinning. very attentive and cute waiters :

Cocktails Great Table Service and waitress good Wine selection Very poor only one bottle of each wine available and no wine list Food Poor. One main was very salty, two were cold and ribs were lamb rack. Asked manager to come and speak to us and he refused. I would not go again

After visiting the bar for late night cocktails had a really good night, thought we would book a table for dinner. All went a bit pear shaped but considering prices should not have done. Starters turned up with mains and a rack of ribs landed as lamb cutlets. Mains represented were cold an reheated pasta so declined, limited wine list only one bottle of each type but no sweat had two. Failed the ultimate test though asked for the reheated pasta to be taken off the bill as uneaten manager made a right fuss, finally conceded but we had two armed cops follow us out, so advice would be either go for a drink or take a gun.

This cocktail lounge has the best ambience. I love the decor! Beautiful place for drinks at nite. I believe this place is underrated. So wonderful.
