Kaxapa Factory - Playa del Carmen

Me decidí por este restaurante porque me encanta la comida venezolana y por las críticas que leí en trip advisor y no me equivoqué!!! Buenísimas las empanadas, las arepas y el pabellón, fue lo que pedimos, ojalá hubiese podido probar más cosas! Por cierto, no sirven bebidas alcohólicas, ni siquiera cerveza, pero no importa, merece la pena. Muy bien de precio y la comida y el servicio de 10.

EAT HERE! If you are in Playa del Carmen EAT HERE! At least once. We have been here for 12 days. 36 meals. This was the best, most flavorful food we had the entire trip. We had the Patacón Mixto with avocado and some cachapa...tradicional. The Patacón has great flavor and the plantains added a crunch that was perfect. The cachapas, while simple in flavor, have a wonderful texture and creamy cheese filling. The Chica de arroz is like horchata and rice pudding together and is delicious!! We sampled all the drinks and honestly had a hard time deciding. The lemonade is amazing (sort of sweet and sour) and unlike anything I have had before. Jose Ramon, the owner, is an absolute delight. Kind, warm and has so much passion for life and food and genuinely enjoys sharing that with you! The prices are very reasonable, portions are good size, and service is fantastic! Kaxapa stands out for us as the one place you NEED to try in Playa del Carmen.

What a gem! A great restaurant run by the most amazing family. The food is so good, we ended up coming 3 times for brunch during our stay in PDC. We ate a different dish every time, and not once were we disappointed. Their vegan...options are amazing, nothing like we’ve tasted before. Their only flaw… They are open only during the day, but maybe it was for the better for us, because we would have been here every night :-p
