El Pechugon Rosticerias

I tried a few times to get chicken here based on good reviews. Whenever I'd go, the chicken would be sold out....good sign I thought! No, not really! Finally got our chicken and potatoes and it was so incredibly dry it was hard to eat. The flavour wasn't even that great. The potatoes were not great either and the rice was dry and hard.Perhaps this was just my bad luck but I will take a pass on this one going forward. My vote goes to El Pirata on 30th. Going forward I will stick with them!

You must try this place. Most people get take out but they do have a few seats to eat in. The chicken is roasted on a spit while they cook little potatoes underneath soaking up all the flavourful juices from the chicken. The chicken is moist and juicy and has so much flavour! It is a good deal. One whole chicken, a bag of potatoes, rice, totillas and sauce for $135 pesos! You can't beat that!

If chicken places were rated this would be number one. We eat lunch there every year at least 2 or 3 times. The chicken is amazing. You have different choices of meals. I get the 1/4 chicken with the breast and wing. It is served with small whole potatoes, rice, hot pepper, tortillas and a drink for 59 pesos, which is around $3.25 USD. The small potatoes are amazing, as the rotisserie chicken turns the juices drop on the potatoes. You can order 1/2 chicken meals, pieces or whole chickens. For the last two years I/we are the only gringos eating at the small counter area, about 8 stools. We are treated very nice. I almost hate to give it such a high rating because more tourists might go and I won't have a place to sit.

Amazingly simple broasted chicken--the potatoes are cooked underneath and are dripping with the chicken flavor. We rented a house in playacar and rode our bikes up twice for dinner. Super yummy
