This is hands down the best, most authentic Mayan restaurant in Playa del Carmen. My family looks forward to our visit here every year where you will be treated to delicious food at reasonable prices with exceptional service. At Carboncito's the servers deliver margaritas and sangria to your table on their heads and Mayan coffee is an exquisite after-dinner delight, that is a show all on it's own. If you want to experience the Mayan Riviera as it used to be, this is the only restaurant to transport you back in time to when Playa del Carmen was an unknown, hidden gem. If I could only visit one restaurant in Playa del Carmen, it would be Carboncito's every time. It's like coming home. I never go to playa without stopping for a meal here. Pick any item you want and you won't be disappointed. I had the privilege of dining at Carboncitos restaurant on my trip through Mexico, and I can only describe it as fabulous, authentic and quirky. If you really want to experience real Mexican food, this is the place. The restaurant 's cuisine is simply excellent. Each dish is prepared with care and passion, highlighting the delicious flavors and spices typical of Mexico. The dishes were so tasty and authentic that I felt transported straight to the bustling streets of the country. It was a real explosion of flavors, a culinary experience not to be missed. The hospitality of the staff and servers was amazing. As soon as I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and treated with exceptional courtesy. But what really made my experience special was the waitress called Florencia. She was just amazing. Always attentive to her customers, she took great care to ensure that our meal went perfectly. Her beaming smile and natural kindness made us feel right at home. She knew the menu inside out and gave us great recommendations. The ambience of the restaurant was also very pleasant, with typical Mexican decoration which added a touch of authenticity to the whole experience. I highly recommend Carboncitos to anyone who loves authentic Mexican food. If you are looking to immerse yourself in the true culinary essence of Mexico, you will not be disappointed. This restaurant was a wonderful discovery, the waiter were amazing and the food delicious. Located in a small street near the main street, you can still benefit from the atmosphere but in a more peaceful way. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
