Freaky Tiki Grill - Plattsburgh

I have to say that we had high expectations going here. It is a beautiful spot on Mooney Bay. Our night started with crab cakes which were good. We then ordered our dinners. I ordered the beef tips and my wife ordered the summer salad. I got my order about 20 minutes later. My wife did not get her meal. We waited 5 minutes before asking the waitress where her meal was. They messed up the order and forgot to put it in. 15 minutes later the salad arrives. It was steak atopiceberg lettuce. The avocado was not ripe and rock hard. As a chef, you should no better than to put an unripened avocado on a plate. My beef tips meal was delicious but a little cold because I waited for my wife?s meal. We did get hermeal and a glass of wine payed for. The name of the place is Freaky Tiki and has no tiki theme at all. We had a new waitress so that could be most of our issue. We may have hit a bad Saturday.

Excellent view on the marina with a terrasse. Menu offers a lot of options for food and drinks. Service is good and you can have access to Wi-Fi. Great venue for a romantic evening after a day on the lake.

My daughter, mother and dog discovered this place after a trip to walk at Long Point. This stop made our day. We were able to eat lunch out on the deck with our dog. They had a dog menu! Check out the photo of the beautiful chicken and rice she was served! We all got our bellies filled and enjoyed the view of the lake. I would love to go back, and will share this treasure with my friends and family.

We called ahead to confirm seating availability. We were told to wait one hour for a table. Upon arrival many tables were available on the deck. We asked to be seated on the water side of the deck but denied. The host said that our party of three couldn't sit at a round table because they could fit more patrons at that type of table. We were seated by the door and experienced the wait staff RUNNING behind us in and out of the door. We waited for drinks, food was incorrect andpromised vegetables never arrived. Sorry for a 3 star. My posts are always fair and the truth.

The drinks had little to no alcohol. My girlfriend got a margarita and can't taste everything, so I tried it and there was only sour juice for $11, overpriced for this area. The food was not good while we were eaten alive by flies everywhere chances are due to being understaffed. I really do wish I could say one good thing about our experience tonight as we have been here many times before and referred people here, but I can't. I love small businesses, and I hopethis was just a one time thing and not a downward slide of quality.
