Can Gasparó Rural Girona Planoles

Very good customer service, very well prepared and varied dishes, everything is clean and the location of the hotel is great for disconnecting and being isolated in the mountains where you can do several excursions just by walking out the door. We are very happy :

Very nice, quiet and relaxing hotel in the middle of the mountain. The views from the dining room are spectacular. The dinner was good and the staff (the receptionist and waitress) were very nice and smiling from the start. The price is lower than other hotels in the area and therefore the quality price is correct and we are happy with the experience. However, there are things that I think could be improved and I would like to mention them. Our room smelled really bad, I think it was coming from the bathroom drains and it was quite unpleasant. I chose it from the photos because I liked it but I obviously didn't know what this smell would be like. I was very disappointed that the oil they had on the dinner tables was not extra virgin olive oil as indicated on the container but had been filled with a poor quality oil. And the salmon accompaniment was a very small amount (the escalivada). Everything was good, yes (except the oil). The television was very old, I think they could renew them, they still use the DTT device. The rooms are not very well soundproofed and you can hear a lot of noise from the surrounding rooms, but we didn't have any problems sleeping either. Varied breakfast but unfortunately not suitable for vegetarians/people with intolerances (gluten/lactose). And it was served a little late for our taste. I also understand that it's a small hotel and they have strict cancellation policies, but I confirmed my reservation Friday morning to go Saturday morning, and that same Friday night I called saying I wasn't feeling well, that if we could change the dates... and they said no. In the end we went anyway, but surely that room had no longer been reserved (or yes, who knows) because I booked with a day or so left until the entrance, and they could have made the change for me, but well, how that is written so I can't say much either. This hotel meets all our expectations: it is very charming, very quiet, views, nature, beautiful rooms, quality food and excellent service and, specifically, Carla is a very good person and a great professional. I recommend it 100%. We are regulars. Or we do walking routes and we arrive for an aperitif or we go to eat with friends or we sleep if we do not fit at home. Congratulations!!!
