The Stromboli and lasagna are also delicious favorites. If I could make one suggestion for improvement, it would be to update the old-fashioned drink machine, which only has six options. Come on, Freestyle machines have been around for years now—it's time to enhance your beverage selection!
I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could. I've only come across two places that genuinely serve New York-style pizza: Mimi's in Dallas and Marinara in Plano. After trying every so-called "NY pizza place," I can confidently say that the others just don't measure up. On my first visit to Marinara, I ordered the eggplant parmesan. I've sampled almost every version available in the area and have reviewed most of them, but Marinara's is the only one that truly tastes authentic. The others are just decent imitations, but Marinara gets it right. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the delivery service is top-notch. I can't recommend this place highly enough. The only suggestion I have is for them to add an eggplant parm sub to the menu—if they did, I'd probably order it every day!
The chicken parmesan here is incredibly delicious and portioned generously enough to share. They also serve my favorite garlic knots and bread in the area. It's a great meal at a reasonable price, and I've noticed over the years that their quality remains consistently high. Additionally, this is one of the few Italian restaurants where I enjoy the food just as much when ordering takeout as I do dining in. Italian cuisine often loses its appeal during transport, but for some reason, this place's dishes hold up exceptionally well.
