Malgudi Garden - Plano

I visited this restaurant for an impromptu lunch buffet and had a generally decent experience. As a fully vegetarian establishment, they offer a wide range of buffet options to cater to different tastes. Along with the buffet, they provide fresh and unlimited naan (both plain and butter) and dosa, which are served hot and pair well with the meal. The food was good, especially for those who enjoy vegetarian dishes, although nothing was particularly remarkable. One drawback was the lack of proper ventilation; the strong smell of food lingered, quickly seeping into my clothes. When I got into my car afterward, the aroma was so overpowering that it filled the entire vehicle. Because of this, I wouldn’t recommend dining in—especially if you’re on a break from work or heading somewhere afterward. It’s a great place for takeout, but perhaps not the best choice for dining in during lunch hours.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere, hospitality, and food at this restaurant! After ten years, I finally tasted their creamy, flavorful, and aromatic Butter Paneer, and it was simply unbelievable and authentic. Although we arrived a little late, the buffet was incredibly delicious, fresh, and true to its roots. Each dish had its own unique taste and flavor, without being overly spicy—a refreshing change from what I've experienced at other Indian restaurants. I truly enjoyed every single bite! As a food enthusiast, I can be quite picky, and if my taste buds aren't satisfied, I won't recommend a place. So, without hesitation, I suggest you check it out! Every Friday, they host Karaoke, and each day features a specific meal offer. I love it!

One of the Best Buffets I've Ever Experienced! If you're looking to showcase the richness of Indian cuisine to your American and other cultural friends, this is the place to be! The buffet here is nothing short of spectacular, offering an incredible variety of dishes that truly represent the diverse flavors of India.

Update (August 10, 2024) - We visited this restaurant for the first time on a Saturday and arrived at 1 PM. We had to wait almost 40 minutes to be seated, and once inside, it was very noisy and crowded. I wouldn't recommend going on weekends again. They should think about expanding to a larger space. Previous Visit Update: We have tried this restaurant a couple of times before and enjoyed the food on both occasions; it was quite tasty.

Vegetarian options: I am a foodie. Very satisfied Immensely satisfied.
